So today was the perfomance and I can actually say this was my favorite spring phase class in my four years here. Although, I was so nervous prior to the performance it was amazing and all worth it after the show. At this beginning of this course I never thought I'd actually like it. This turned out to be my favorite spring phase class where

I learned how to make certain balloons and even sow. It actually became an experience to enjoy and I'm glad because this is something great to put on a resume. I'm grateful that I took this class and wish more people could take it. I admit it was very difficult at times but what isn't?

I CANT LIVE OUT MY PHONE

 My phone is basically a part of me, with out it I would be nothing. My life is basically all in this one device. Its hard to go even at least an hour not looking at my phone. My phone lets me access a wide variety of apps an social media networks, which I need to update currently just to convince myself I'm alive. Without this one device I would be lost in the world of technology, and its not just the fact of  bringing pleasure to myself its a very needed essential for communication. There are a vast number of reasons why I need my phone just to go about my daily life but those are just the main ones. My phone is not a want, it is a need for m y daily survival in the 21st century

I cannot live without my iphone

I cannot live without my phone because generally I'd be bored without it. All my apps that keep me entertained are on the phone, so i literally need my phone. Another reason is because if Im ever in danger and need to contact someone i would need my phone to call that person for help. I used to have a life before my phone but i must say it was extremely boring and dry. When you have a phone you also get a better understanding of whats happening around the world. However, before i didn't have a phone i was clueless with what was going on in the world. When you get an iphone you basically have power in your hands and you wouldn't even realize it. I believe if people invented this years ago it'd be hard for them to let go of it too.

Favorite Electronic

One electronic that I can't live without is my phone. If I didn't have my phone I would generally be bored most of the time. Whenever I don't have my phone I don't know what to do with myself. The iphones in particular is my favorite phone currently. If I was to pick between Android and apple I would pick apple.

      The generator is the most biggest valuable thing in today society. Mostly because it can create electricity and it portable. The reason why I say it very important is because, when sandy hit Nj in some sectors there were no electricity. And the new devise was needed to produce electricity, to charge phones, games, turn on lights, television etc. The generator is one of the most useful thing to have when your main source of energy stops. Especially when you have many technology that needs changing in your disposal.

Technology That I Need

Since the early 20th century there was many booming inventions and advancements in technology but never was their a invention like solar panels. At the time everybody was still buzzing about batteries and D.C/A.C current. Since the invention of solar panels the percentage of people who have switched form wind power and hydro power has doubled. It is now anceint to have a coal powered house and you always see houses with solar panels on top of them. I believe that I would be able to just use solar panels and sacrifice all other technology for it. Solar panels can be usher for so much more than just a energy source to houses and appliances. Recently their has been a test plane that has solar panels on both wings and in the front and back of the plane, the solar panels were able to hold this plane up in the sky for two weeks and it went around the world four times! This shows just how versatile the solar panel is and how open it is to be experimented on and applied to more than just houses. Not only is it useful but it is Eco-friendly and does not harm the environment like coal does. I believe that the computer was the most essential electronic technology invented. They are one of the most used devices in the world, considering you can find them anywhere: at homes, at a hospital, at a school, and other places. What makes the computer a necessity in our life today is because they can be used to replace everything. Nowadays artificially intelligent computers are even used to assist in surgical procedures. Without computers, our everyday life would be harder and require more work. 

Cell Phone

An electrical device that is extremely difficult to live without is the cell phone. It can be used for a numerous amount of things, such as communication, transactions, obtaining information,and placing an order. It allows us to connect to both our neighbor and those who might be on the opposite side of the world. The cell phone allows us to check the temperature, get access to news, astronomical events, obtain new information; such as location of stores, or directions. With the cell phone you can order services to either repair,replace , or get something new. You can order food and even make bank transactions. The cell phone allows you to many trivial actions from the comfort of where-ever you are and allows you a higher quality of life.

Refrigerator

The refrigerator is one of the most essential electronic u can have in my opinion. It preserves food for extended periods of time. The fridge could keep any meal leftovers fresh that might be in our kitchen. If it wasnt for the refrigerator, meals would be rotting that day or mabye sooner depending on the food and even ingredients could rot.

An electronic device that is essential for me is my cell phone. The reason why is because a cell phone does everything you may need it to do. It has games that can entertain you, has flash grow when you need light, let's you call and text people. The cell phone basically does everything. There are buttons on all cellphones and apps that help you control the phone and use it.

The modern day one is obviously the most efficient but without it electronic technology would be very slow. this is what makes other electric devices run. When this shuts down most of things we have will shut down considering our lives are mostly run by electricity. When blackouts happen we always have back electronic devices. If Cars never exist

The world without cars would be a dim, joyless place with much-diminished freedom, and mobility. Cars have enabled our nation to grow and develop. Life without cars would cause the world to be a different place. The loss of cars would affect transportation, the economy, health, cultural development and the environment. It would affect America the most since automobiles are the number one source of transportation. Life of everyday Americans would be slowed down. Children getting to school and employees getting to work would be a much harder. he economy would be hurt if we did not have cars. Manufacturers would have a harder time transporting their supplies. Another way of moving goods from city to city would need to be found.

Air conditioners in schools are important, The school board on Monday the 17th approved procedures for principals to follow when temperatures rise in 19 elementary schools where partial air conditioning was installed this spring and summer. All schools need air condition especially for the summer. The cost of air conditioning 25 percent of the 19 school was $3.7 million. The district has estimated it would cost $13.6 million to fully air-condition classrooms and libraries at all 19 schools.

I find telephone an important electronic device because now and day telephones are pretty much use for many important things it is use in our everyday life, phones for example when kids get out of school and you need ride you need to call your parents or for a cab its pretty disturbing asking  other people to use their phone plus we need to communicate from long didtance with other people to be updated on things of life.

From the moment Alexander Graham Bell yelled those famous words, "Come here Mr. Watson, I want to see you!", the business of providing telephone service was off and running. Soon after that fateful day of March 10, 1876, Bell and Watson were demonstrating the instrument. 

In July of 1877, the Bell Telephone Company was formed by Gardiner Hubbard. The Charles Williams shop made the first telephones under the direction ofWatson, who in effect was the Research and Development Department of the company. Alexander Graham Bell opted out of the day-to-day managing of the company and traveled to England, staying for over a year. By the end of 1877 there were three thousand telephones in service.

In mid-1878, Hubbard named Theodore Vail, the Superintendent of the Railway Mail Services as the new general manager of the Bell Company. This one decision alone would become lead to the basic foundation of what would become the giant monopoly, the "Bell System." The Bell company had 10,000 phones in service at this time.

A World Without Cell Phones

A piece of electronic technology that I consider to be essential in my life is a cell phone. Many people would say lights are important, which they are, but for many years, people survived without lights by using candles. In addition to that, in today's society, many people have phones with flash lights. Therefore, being able to use light would be accessible but not as important as communication. Cell phones are used to communicate people all around the world. Communication is important because without it, it makes getting tasks done more difficult. An example would be having business workers from all over the country do conference calls. A world without cell phones delays everything because it prevents people from being on the same page. If people are not on the same page, things will not get accomplished they that they could, if there were cell phones. This is why cell phones are a piece of electronic technology that I consider to be essential in my life.

The most important electric devices is my phone because I can't really do anything without my phone, and his also important because of security purpose, for example if anything happen I can contact my mom and my dad or anybody in my family.

     If I had to choose one electronic device to have power it would have to be a car battery. A car battery gives you the opportunity to use a car. A car is essential in life, because how else would a person get from point A to point B given that it is a long distance one that you can not walk or ride a bike. A car battery can also be used to power or charge a secondary device, such as a boat motor etc... A car battery works by using a positive and negative charge along with sulfuric acid to produce an electric charge.

Cell phones  use radio waves to communicate. Radio waves transport digitized voice or data in the form of oscillating electric and magnetic fields, called the electromagnetic field (EMF). The rate of oscillation is called frequency. Radio waves carry the information and travel in air at the speed of light.
Cell phones transmit radio waves in all directions. The waves can be absorbed and reflected by surrounding objects before they reach the nearest cell tower. For example, when the phone is placed next to your head during a call, a significant portion (over half in many cases) of the emitted energy is absorbed into your head and body. In this event, much of the cell phone’s EMF energy is wasted and no longer available for communication.

Many modern smart phones also contain more than one type of antenna. In addition to the cellular antenna, they may also have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and/or GPS antennas.

A light bulb is for me, the most important piece of electronic technology. An incandescent light bulb contains a long, coiled, piece of metal called a filament. When you turn on a light bulb, electricity flows through the filament. As the filament heats up, it produces light. The light bulb is most useful to me because it allows for work to be done at night. Without lights in your house, how can someone even walk around at night, let alone read or write. Without the invention of lights, the world would be pitch dark. This would prevent me from completing tasks at night, like doing homework, taking a shower, reading, or even getting home in a car. It would be extremely difficult to drive a car in pitch darkness. Lights help the most in my opinion, because they allow for us to essentially have eyes at night after the sun has set.

You may be thinking about the popular tv show "The Big Bang Theory", but the interesting thing is that our universe's birth is actually called the big bang theory. Reading about it I discovered that this massive explosion caused our milky way galaxy to be formed. It happened about 10 to 20 billion years ago. Scientist cant really tell us how the universe came to be after because of the time gap, really need to remember that this accident happened billion's of years ago.

Batteries are devices that produce electricity and contains one or more electric cells that can store chemical energy and turn it into electrical energy. This piece of electronic technology is essential in my life because batteries are able to power almost everything from phones and vehicles to radios and lights. Also some batteries are portable which you take just anywhere with in your portable electronic device. Some batteries can last an extremely long thing which helps when they are powering a device that needs lots of electricity. The way batteries work is that when you put them into an electrical device the stored chemical energy converts into electrical energy which travels out of the battery and into the device causing it to power on, Batteries have three parts, an anode(-), a cathode(+), and the electrolyte.The chemical reactions in the battery causes a build up of electrons at the anode. This results in an electrical difference between the anode and the cathode. The difference is unstable electrons that will go to the cathode when the circuit of the device is closed causing it to have power. Batteries offer us limitless benefits which makes them essential in my life .

The piece of electronic technology I consider to be essential in my life is the light bulb because without it I wont be able to see clearly at night and I can't do certain things I usually do like take a shower late at night or use my phone or TV because that emits light. Scientists have found out that there was a possibility that mars had more water than the Atlantic Ocean at one time. This shows that Mars could sustain life even better than we previously thought because it holds one of the few necessities needed to survive for a human. That means a period of living on a planet other than Earth might be closer than we think. Imagine, living on a world, looking up in the sky, and seeing Earth. That would be amazing.

It is very shocking. To here  that there is another planets that resembles Jupiter. It is 100 light years away and has identical features of Jupiter. It is an exoplanet which means that it is out if our solar system and is called 51 Eridani b. It is also relatively young and is 20 million years old. Also, has a temperature of 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Looks like we have a new Jupiter on the way!

The Andromeda Galaxy is one of the nearest galaxies to the Milky Way. It is a spiral galaxy that contains almost a trillion stars and a super-massive black hole at its core. It is approximately 2.5 million light years away and is approaching our galaxy at about 140 kilometers per second. Due to this, both galaxies are predicted to collide in around 4 billion years. It is one of the most distant celestial objects you can see with the naked eye.

The Perseid meteor shower is a result of space debris from the tail of the Swift-Tuttle comet orbiting around the sun every 133 year, according to abc new.The meteor shower has been observed for at least 2,000 years as the Earth passes through a cloud of the comet's debris each August. This August however those in the northern hemisphere have a better view of the persid meteor shower. This is due to the location of the meteor shower in relationship to the earth, the condition and brightness /glare of the moon. This is Amazing spectacle because it gives us he ability to view these astrological bodies in a new way rather than seeing it on a computer,or television screen. less than a billion years after the Big Bang. Astronomers hope that through the discovery of this smaller example that black hole evolution models may be refined. Universe Fades To Black

In this article it talkes about how the universe will turn into more of an empty dark and boring void. Scientist belive this would happen 100 billions years from now. They believe this from looking at more than 200,000 galaxies. The energy they are producing today is about half of what it was 2 billion years ago.More stars are dying than are being born.            Rockets are incredibly inefficient because they need huge amounts of power to get off the ground, using up most of their fuel fighting against inertia and atmospheric drag. The elevator will go up to around 12.4 miles. Even though it does not go all the way to space, the blueprints suggest it would be 20 times taller than the current highest manmade structure, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai. It will be attached to a space station in a Lagrange Point - where the Moon and Earth's gravity cancel each other out out - so a spacecraft or station can remain stationary.

A Change in the Earth's Magnetic Field

      Usually "Space Weather" or magnetic waves given off from the sun usually effect the Earth's poles. These waves we know as the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) are powerful enough to destroy or temporarily disrupt any electronic devise such as an EMP would. This worries me, because if this can also hit the regions around the equator or in rare occasions even our Northeastern region. If one truly does hit us there could be now power for hours, days, even weeks or years depending on its strength. People don't realize that not only would this effect their cellular devises, but even todays modern cars with all of the electronic equipment in them.

       A small, rocky planet could host liquid water on its surface, if it also contains a carbon-dioxide atmosphere, researchers say.

The planet, which scientists have dubbed kepler -62f, has a diameter 40 percent larger than that of Earth, and could contain oceans of water if its atmosphere keeps the planet warm.

"A high carbon-dioxide atmosphere is a reliable way to put liquid water on this planet," Aomawa Shields, a scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles, who was involved in the new research, said at the Astrobiology Science Conference in Chicago in June. 

Melting ice sheets

Kepler-62 is a small, dim star two-thirds the size of the sun and only one-fifth as bright. Five planets orbit the star, which lies 1,200 light-years from the sun in the constellation Lyra. Only two of these planets lie in the habitable zone , the region around a star in which liquid water could lie on the surface of a planet.

Liquid water is thought to be a necessary ingredient for the evolution of life. Both planets are super-Earths — rocky exoplanets larger than Earth. At the time it was discovered, Kepler-62f was the most Earth-like planet known, in terms of size and orbit.

The other planet, Kepler-62f, lies at the inner edge of the habitable zone. The planet is about 60 percent larger than Earth. In modeling orbits, Shields and her colleagues were unable to find one that could sustain liquid water on its surface.

"[Kepler]-62e is likely too hot for liquid water," she said.

Kepler-62f lies farther from its sun — in fact, it is the farthest out of the five planets known to orbit the star, which it circles once every 267.3 Earth days. Scientists could only measure the radius of the planet. In order to estimate its mass, and thus its density and composition, they relied on the statistics of previous studies, and concluded it was likely either a rocky planet or one that hosted solid water, rather than a gas giant.

Shields put the planet into a simulation with an Earth-like rotation and a carbon-dioxide atmosphere. She then studied it with different obliquities — in other words, the angles at which it tilts in respect to the sun. In one case, the planet boasted an Earth-like obliquity of around 23 degrees, while in another, it had a sharper tilt of 60 degrees. Both scenarios resulted in the freezing of surface water, creating an icy snowman planet.

However, in the simulation of the planet with a tipped orbit, temperatures at the southern pole rose above freezing during the hemisphere's summer months.

"At its southern hemisphere summer, [the planet] gets more of the max effects," Shields said. "This could result in melting ice sheets."

Kepler-453 is interesting because it is considered similar to earth but at the same time having a radius 6.2 radius bigger then earths and a mass about 16 times smaller then its considerable "cousin". The planet is about 1,400 light years away from earth. Because of its gaseous nature it most likely cannot support human life of life in general. More discoveries are more likely going to be made bout this earth like planet.

A new age dawned upon us when man first set foot on the Moon. Though, recent articles have shown NASA covering up pictures by airbrushing them, in order to hide sensitive information from Apollo 17. Even missing tapes from Apollo 11 seemed a bit sketchy. Pictures of the Moon, tooken on the Moon itself and from space have been analyzed, and clearly shows figures that seem to stretch upward, casting a shadow upon the Moon's surface, like any building would do on Earth. The shadows casted on the Lunar's surface have been said to be "artifacts from digitally photographed software" but UFO and anomaly hunters respond by saying, "what sort of 'artifacts from the digital photography software' generate wedge-shaped structures with lights arranged in what appear perfect symmetrical order". I believe deeply that the structures could infect show alien like life on the Moon, if not, then why hasn't NASA returned to the moon since Apollo 17, and so secretive about the lost footage. What is the need for airbrushing photos and altering audio clips from the missions to the Moon?

Jupiter-like Exoplanet

This exoplanet was discovered by Rahul Patel and is about 100 light years away from us. It is said to be about 20 million years old,but compared to our Jupiter it is a child. This amazes me because this gives us a hint of what Jupiter used to be like. Yes it is filled with numerous poisonous gases, but it is an answer to some of our questions how the planets started off as. This right here is a visual representation.

Black Hole Discovery

NASA has found the smallest supermassive black hole known to man even though it has 50,000 times more mass than the sun. It is located in the dwarf Galaxy RGG 118. They found from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. It is consuming a lot compared to its size and close to the consumption of its larger cousins. It is good that the black hole is small because the scientists can have a better understanding of how black holes grow. Because of the black holes size it probably never merged with a neighbor.

In recent events, scientists have discovered a new tiny black hole that contains about 50,000 times more mass than the sun.  A black hole is a gravitational field that sucks in so many substances, but does not enable them to escape. This black hole is located in RGG 118, which is also referred to as a dwarf galaxy. This black hole has given scientist the idea that there are bigger things outside of our solar system because something that is so small in a different galaxy, is bigger than the sun in our solar system.

Not all black holes are completely black. most of them are surrounded by stars dust and other floating particles.

New Earth-like planet

This year, astronomers from NASA have discovered an planet that is much like Earth and is calling it Earth 2.0. Also known as Kepler 452b, the planet revolves around a star that is similar to ours and has an orbit of 385 days which is 20 more days than Earth'orbit. The planet is 1,400 light years away from Earth and is in the constellation of Cygnus. It is located in it's star's habitable zone which is a region of life-sustaining water liquid that is possible to be on a planet's surface. This new planet's gravity is twice of Earth's gravity and is on the edge of being rocky like Earth and being a gas giant like Neptune.

Whats the disease that started way back in the colonial period the legion of Confederates we're among the first to catch it. This disease seems very mysterious and definetly was deadly. The first to get it died in a couple of hours. They died of fever and chest pains which in my opinion was most likely a slow and painful death. Even worse they didn't know what caused the disease for a long time. Making it a very deadly and mysterious disease.

Cardiovascular disease is a disease where the Heart have conditions that include diseased vessels, structural problems, and blood clots. This disease caught my eye because you can get heart disease by eating the wrong food on a daily basis or Plaque buildup thickens and stiffens artery walls, which can stop blood flow through your arteries to your organs and tissues.The most common types of heart disease are stroke, high blood pressure, caridiac arrest, and arrhythma.
